Introduction of RPMI-T

HolyWave RPMI-Turnout is a high precision and portable tool for fast, reliable and extremely accurate cross-sectional profile measurements of switches for monitoring and analyzing the wear of the rails. The instrument can easily be adjusted to match various measuring scenarios and each measurement is performed conveniently in one single measurement in less than 5 seconds per profile. RPMI-T is based on the important full contact measuring principle where a magnetic knife-shaped measuring wheel provides constant and direct contact to the actual profile surface during the complete measuring process. Concerns about dirt and oil are minimized as the full contact measuring wheel cuts through the layers on top of the profile and collects the actual profile, not just a non-contact picture of a surface. RPMI-T can be performed in all types of working environments as the full contact measuring principle is never challenged by reflecting light, humid weather, white frost etc.

Each HolyWave system is delivered with the innovative and user-friendly software package. It includes the app for Android for easy data collection in the field and the vast software package for basic and advanced data studies and analysis. It can suit any user’s needs for easy building of measurement schemes, batch processing, references, creating templates and macros, live alarms, trend analysis, wear, grinding, evaluation, equivalent conicity and much more. Depths, widths, angles and precise information on the physical placement of the switch is provided instantly in real time view and is stored by the accompanying software for onsite and post measurement analysis. This allows for evaluation of not only the profile of the individual rails, but also the geometry data of the entire cross-section. The HolyWave software visualizes and calculates residuals and areas automatically. Measurements can be compared in multiple ways and are easily exported to various formats.

HolyWave full-contact coding technology Mechanical full-contact profile measurement technology meets the complex conditions of first-line railroads best. The crushing and cutting action of the front measuring roller can effectively remove the influence of various types of rust, oil and other rail surface impurities on the measurement accuracy, and the HolyWave Profile Meter adopts the industry's only special coding technology to realize the accurate matching of left and right profiles without the need to bear additional splicing algorithms to bring about the overall profile measurement errors, with extremely high repeatability accuracy. Contact single/double head incremental coding A number of peer companies use incremental coding technology as the core measurement device, and even dual measurement head, resulting in the left and right contours need to be synthesized using splicing algorithms, resulting in long-term use of the device precision loss of accuracy out of calibration, repeated measurements of the degree of coincidence is not satisfactory. Non-contact laser reflection measurement laser ranging although has the ideal non-contact measurement accuracy, but the laser head relies on light reflection for measurement, the environmental requirements are very high, different light and measurement surface conditions will bring about a large calculation error, and the laser lens is also more fragile, is not suitable for portable instrument use.
